International Seminar on Psychiatry
This is organised by the West Midlands Psychiatry Research Group in collaboration with World Psychiatric association and World Association for Psychosocial Research. 
The SLAP(UK) has been allocated 75 spaces for this meeting. 
Venue: Crowne Plaza Birmingham NEC Hotel, Pendigo Way, Birmingham, Solihull, B40 1PS
Registration fee: £50 - The fee entitles you to overnight stay and all meals  (strictly non medical people not allowed)

Sri Lanka Psychiatrists Association (UK)

 

Sri Lankan Psychiatrists' Association of the United Kingdom was formed in July 2001 with the aim of creating a forum for the Psychiatrists of Sri Lankan origin, practicing in the UK.

The aims and objectives of the Association are:

  • To act as a forum for Psychiatrists of Sri Lankan origin in the United Kingdom enabling them to share ideas and to promote social cohesion.

  • To promote education and research in Psychiatry with special reference to the mental health of people of Sri Lankan origin.

  • To organise and promote education and research events in the UK and in Sri Lanka.

  • To be an advocate for the needs of the Association members in relation to their role in the Royal College of Psychiatrists.

  • To assist the psychiatric trainees from Sri Lanka to obtain their post graduate training in the UK.

  • To promote and advance the delivery of mental health care in Sri Lanka.

  • To safeguard and foster the interests of the members and preserve, protect and enhance their image, by working with other interested organisations.

  • To participate in charitable activities in Sri Lanka, particularly in the field of mental healthcare services in Sri Lanka.
